Editorial Assessment

If your manuscript feels unclear, uneven, or like something isn’t quite working but you can’t pinpoint why—this is where we start.

An editorial assessment (manuscript critique/feedback) looks at the big picture of your story: structure, pacing, character arcs, and what’s holding it back from working as a whole.

What will I get?

  • A 5-15 page structural report mapping strengths, weak points, revision priorities, thematic observations, developmental questions, and character arc notes
  • Comments on key areas throughout the manuscript (where needed) to highlight patterns, confusion points, or missed oppurtunities
  • Clear, actionable next steps so you know exactly what to focus on in your next draft

If your manuscript is structurally sound but the writing itself isn’t quite landing, this is where we refine it.

A line and copy edit focuses on how your writing reads on a sentence level to improve clarity, flow, and consistency while keeping your voice intact.

  • Line-by-line edits to improve clarity, flow, and readability
  • Sentence restructuring where needed to strengthen voice and pacing
  • Corrections to grammar, punctuation, and technical consistency
  • Consistency in tone, voice, and style
  • Comments where needed to explain key changes or flag patterns
  • A concise feedback report summarising key edits, patterns, and areas to review, so you can clearly understand what’s changed and why
  • A custom style sheet documenting decisions on spelling, formatting, character names, and consistency rules for your manuscript
